Calculations Behind a Strong Kingside Attack! - Remote Chess Academy
Recently, we published a video lesson prepared by the RCA guest coach IM Alexandru Banzea, from Romania. In this video, he explains how to calculate variations in the middlegame. Of course, we all learn how to play openings and then we continue to play well, get an advantage in the middlegame, and now what? You have to convert your advantage into a win – how to do that? Indeed, one of the most important things you should learn to win a chess game is to calculate variations accurately and efficiently. It is important to calculate the right variations and not get lost calculating a bunch of variations just to get time pressure and lose the game on time. Suggested: How to Calculate Variations Efficiently? In this video, Alexandru shows you the game played between Arkadij Naiditsch and Vincent Keymer in the GRENKE Chess Classic 2019. Naiditsch is an aggressive player and in this game he found an amazing kingside attack against Black in the Sicilian Defense closed variation. You will learn how Naiditsch organized his pieces really well, brought them all to the kingside, and only after being completely prepared, he started the attack. How did he do that? It’s because he was able to calculate the attacking variations really well. And that is exactly what Alexandru will teach you in this video lesson. Watch the video below and learn! 🙂     You can download the PGN of this game here – LINK. P.S.
